Scholarship Opportunity for Entrepreneurs in Uganda
Background
Milkline in partnership with E4Impact Foundation is offering a scholarship to attend the Global MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship offered by Uganda Martyrs University and Catholic University of Milan run by E4Impact Foundation in Kampala, Uganda.
Aim of the Scholarship
As part of his/her MBA the candidate will be the responsible for developing a business plan for the distribution and sale of Milkline’s equipment and complete systems for milk production and animal care in the Ugandan and Eastern Africa market.
Milkline will provide a project description which will specify in detail scenario, products, and expected results.
The suitable candidate will be the focal point for Milkline and its operations in Uganda and Kenya and will be responsible for creating an on-going relationship with existing and potential customers to establish a strong presence in the Ugandan and East Africa market.
ELEGIBILITY CRITERIA
- Education
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Agri-business. Business Management degree will be an added advantage.
- A certification or accreditation in commercial supply distribution and sales (not required but an added value)
- Professional
- Entrepreneurial mindset and skills are fundamental
- Prior experiences in business development and commercial role in the agribusiness, preferably dairy sector.
- Good knowledge of dairy farming in Uganda and or East Africa. (Strong asset but not required)
- 3 – 5 years of experience selling to small-medium and large-scale farmers and or businesses is a strong plus.
- Knowledge and experience with using IT tools for market research, sales and marketing is an added advantage.
- Proficient in English and local languages .
